SMB International GmbH can look back on a successful appearance at this year's FACHPACK in Nuremberg. At the first major trade fair in more than a year and a half, the company presented visitors with clever solutions in the field of palletizing technology. The newly designed SHARK layer palletizer was the main attraction for SMB International.
The packaging industry had been waiting a long time for this - the interest and the rush of participants were correspondingly high: 788 exhibitors from 33 countries and around 24,000 visitors met again in Nuremberg at the end of September 2021 to celebrate the European Trade Fair for Packaging, Technology and Processes. FACHPACK once again proved to be a "real working trade fair", where unique solutions are presented and discussed with a broad specialist audience.
The focus of SMB International's trade fair appearance was on palletizing technology. The company presented a special highlight for optimally aligned, space-saving and dimensionally stable loading: The innovative SHARK layer palletizer was used directly on site at the trade fair stand and demonstrated its capabilities. In addition to its small footprint, it scores with an innovative turning unit that no other supplier can offer: The integrated conveyor-rotary-pusher unit - a ball rotary table - rotates and moves products almost contact-free and is therefore as gentle on the product as possible. "Saving space and protecting the product are two key advantages of our new layer palletizer," explains Dipl.-Ing. Hans-Jörg Steffens, Sales Manager at SMB International. "The great interest shown by FACHPACK visitors has once again demonstrated the importance of smooth internal processes. We are delighted to be able to offer exactly the right system at the right time with SHARK."
SHARK is modularly expandable and can therefore also be used flexibly for any conversions. The palletizer is also always supplied in two parts and completely pre-installed. It is suitable for all types of cartons, trays and shrink-wrapped packs. The exact palletizing specification for the respective pack formats is calculated in real time, and the possible set patterns are automatically suggested to the system operator - this ensures the greatest possible use of storage space on the target pallet. Special, easy-to-use software controls the entire process. Thanks to the internal interfaces and the installed Profi-Net for remote maintenance, the entire system is effectively fully Industry 4.0-capable.
