Types of Canisters
There are different types of industrially used canisters, such as metal, plastic or glass containers. The choice of the right container often depends on the liquid to be filled - not every material is suitable for every content. For example, there are special plastic canisters for both chemical products and foodstuffs that cannot be used for the other product. In addition to the material, the capacity of the canisters also varies from five liters to 60 liters. Canisters are mostly used for small and medium filling quantities. The advantages of the containers are that they are easy to stack and in most cases have a handle and an opening with a cap so that the contents can be removed easily and repeatedly.
Canister Filling: What needs to be considered?
Precision is required when filling canisters - on several levels. On the one hand, this is due to filling through a small opening - in relation to other containers such as drums. On the other hand, precision is required when filling to prevent overflowing. In addition to other safety measures, special chemical or highly flammable substances also require absolute precision in order to prevent damage to the system or accidents. Our container filling systems - whether semi-automatic or fully automatic - do just that.
Wide range of applications due to the:
- Suitability for foodstuffs
- ATEX certification
- Integrated leak testing
- Inerting of the containers
- Flexible choice of filling methods
Utilization of Canister Filling
Our filling systems for smaller plastic containers (capacity range up to 60-liter containers), which are used for cleaning agents, antifreeze or solvents, for example, are available in a semi-automatic version as well as fully automated. This system has an integrated container opening, container filling station and capping station. Up to four filling stations can be planned in one line. The filling capacity depends on the container size, viscosity and flow rate. We will be happy to determine your options in a consultation.
