Often, deliveries come on traditional wooden Euro pallets, but plastic or metal pallets are used internally. Pallet changers automate this task, increasing speed and efficiency. They're adaptable, too, fitting into the inbound and outbound stages of a warehouse to exchange pallets or to adjust and stabilize the load.
Choosing the Right Pallet Changer

In the slide-over method (sometimes referred to as a horizontal pallet changer), the machine can manage various types of loads, from cartons and trays to larger items like barrels and canisters. How does this method work? Initially, the pallet is fed to the pallet changer using a conveyor system. Then, the load is stabilized by side support walls. Next, a sliding wall (or push plate) moves the items from the original pallet onto the target pallet. The loaded pallet is introduced to the machine, which then automatically swaps it out using a rotating and tilting action.
