Optimal Use of Storage Space
Pallet stackers are automated systems for underlaying or double stacking pallets. Stacking pallets is a standard process in many warehouses and production facilities, from food and beverage to medicine or industrial supplies. This task is often carried out by forklifts, making pallet stacking a costly step which requires trained personnel and machinery. The more efficient way to get this task done: Pallet stackers from SMB.

Careful Container Stacking
Pallet stacking plays an important role in optimizing the use of storage space. Where every inch of the floor plan counts, double stackers can cut a footprint in half by stacking two loaded pallets on top of eachother.
Underlaying pallets add a reinforcing layer underneath a loaded pallet, which not only saves space, but also provides additional stability. Gentle lifting and lowering helps minimize damage to the cargo.
Loaded pallets are usually stacked on an additional pallet with minimal risk to the cargo. Mesh box pallets can also be stacked and unstacked using our machines.
Effortless Pallet Stacking
A single empty carrier pallet can be placed under an already loaded pallet. Stacking pallets by underlaying an additional pallet increases load stability and ensures gentler transport.
Features of Our Pallet Stackers
Our pallet stackers are handy with a number of useful functions:
- Underlaying a second pallet: loaded pallets can be stacked or separated
- Pallet stacking or unstacking: Mount, lift, or removal of a pallet
- Careful handling of pallets and wire mesh boxes
- Optimal utilization of space, for example in warehouses
The palletizing machines can be used in a variety of warehouses or production environments and are extremely energy-efficient and durable.

Types of Pallet Stackers
Pallet stackers come in two forms: Underlayers and Double Stackers. Underlayers provide additional stability in the warehouse by placing an extra pallet underneath the one carrying the load. Double Stackers optimize the use of storage space by stacking two loaded pallets, one on top of the other. Pallet stackers can use hydraulic, pneumatic or electric energy as a power source to move a variety of pallet sizes and types. In combination with conveyor systems or other palletizing system components, they contribute to the automation of internal logistics.
The Underlayer
enables quick, consistent, and efficient reinforcement of loaded pallets by adding an extra pallet underneath. Why use an additional pallet? By underlaying pallets additional stability is provided. Pallet underlayer stacking allows, for instance, non-standard disposable pallets made of weaker wood to be stored temporarily on Euro-pallets.
The Double Stacker
in contrast, stacks two loaded pallets on top of each other, and can separate them again when required. They form precise stacks and help protect the goods loaded on the pallet. They are used primarily to save space, minimize product damage, and help automate further processing.
